stable
and maneuverable
The
Diablo stands alone in the sea kayaking world. While based on the
same exacting design principles as the Triumph - a very stable,
maneuverable kayak that offers a degree of performance otherwise
expected in a more unforgiving craft - the Diablo is focused more
on shorter day trips & lighter paddlers.
lifting
bow chines for sprinting action
Nimble on the water, with special lifting bow chines, quick
acceleration, and rudder located under the last quarter of the
stern of the kayak to offer the same type of control and precision
found on Olympic sprint kayaks.
small
and light weight
The
Diablo's performance doesn't stop on the water. The smaller sizing
of the Diablo has enabled us to produce a lightweight craft that
is easy to store, transport and generally manhandle. The lower
deck and sleeker lines make for a more user friendly feel to
smaller paddlers, while the spacious cockpit offers unmatched
comfort and security.
easy
access paddler pod
The Diablo comes with a large stern hatch for over night gear
storage, and a quick accessible day hatch in front of the cockpit and is outfitted with the same
integral paddler pod as the Triumph to complete the sea worthiness
of the kayak.

Construction:
Modified Epoxy for a superior bond. Kevlar, special woven glass
& sandwich construction called Nomaxx.
First
Glance:
Like
all the Techno Series, the Diablo has a drop down rudder (skeg)
under the rear of the kayak. This special wing-shaped rudder is very
efficient, providing superior steering. The large cockpit makes it
very easy to get in and out of. The Diablo was designed with a rise
in the stern, making it a very forgiving kayak in big water. A large
rear hatch allows you to store a weekends' worth of gear. The
maneuvering is exceptional and the Diablo can go places where many
other bigger kayaks can't. |
