The comfort of Sultan for bigger guys has been compared to wearing a glove - a silk one. Sultan has a positive feeling of control in swells, wind waves and surf which is unlike any other kayak. So much so that it's almost a sensual feeling. The Sultan can handle some big water and the performance is evident once you notice the enlarged hull and deck contours magnified by the sharp bow and stern angles. The single chine is noticeable and will pivot sharply on the axis. The Sultan has a solid look with a fiberglass outside seem and super clean construction inside and out.

Based on the Calypso's unique performance orientated design, the Sultan brings these same attributes to the larger paddler, or the paddler looking for added storage capacity and sea worthiness for extended expeditions.

convenient access
The added volume of the kayak, with its ample hatches and contoured bulkheads, provides for great storage potential for extended multi week trips. The sure urethane valley hatched ensure a water tight seal, while the small day hatch provides quick access to lighters, maps and other necessary items. The deck itself is outfitted with bungee, paddle loops and life lines to ensure a safe, easy access system.
